This has been reported at least two other times previously, both times closed by the city. I would suggest emailing the relevant city councilors for this part of town as well, perhaps they can get some resolution on this.

Oddly enough there are a few other instances of this around town as well; there was a real teeth-rattler down by the Willows, but I think that was finally fixed.

I would suggest voting for change. This paving fiasco is an absolute disgrace. For 2 years Salem has been suggesting these problems are being addressed by Sunshine Paving. That's the company Salem hired to do the 2016 street paving. It is almost 2018 and those roads are not finished. That is unacceptable and Salem should explain exactly what the problem is. Instead, Salem announces ground breaking of the senior center after 25 years of planning, just before election time.

The City is currently finalizing improvements to the Intersections of Collins at Webb and also improvements to the bike path crossing in the area. Due to this proposed work the final paving for Collins St between Arbella and Webb has been moved to be finished once the improvements are completed so the area will not be disturbed twice. The City is anticipating the work to be completed before the end of the year. Thanks

In so many words, then, the City will have left a portion of the intersection at Collins and Webb unpaved for about 18 months.
