Thank you for submitting your request to the Howard County Department of Public Works\Traffic Engineering. Our staff will investigate this issue and respond.
For your use, the process outlining new street light installations is attached.
Traffic Engineering is looking to work with one community liaison or, if applicable, a Homeowners Association Board Member to review and facilitate potential installations.
While we are committed to working together, Traffic has the “final say” regarding all installations. Also, as detailed in the Street Light Procedures, adjacent property owners will be required to “sign off” before a street light location is approved.
At your convenience, please give me a call to discuss.
Thanks
Dennis Fretz, Street Light Engineer
