This is what the leaf looks like. Not sure if it's an emerald ashe but the disease or insects might spread.

Here is information about the invasive insect called and Emerald Ash Borer. THe department of natural resources is trying to iradicate this insect that is spreading and wiping out ash tress across the United States. This issue was re-categorized as a Tree Concern so it could be assigned to our Highways Department, as this was stated to be a street tree. They will investigate the tree on their property and report back with results. Thank you

Has there been any progress on this? With winter winds heading our way, there are sure to be downed branches, some of them are quite large.

The dead trees still line the street. Nothing's been done

The 2 trees that were in the worst condition are gone. THe stumps need to be removed and replacement trees planted. it would be great to get replacements in the ground now so they can come back strong in the spring.

Stumps were removed. They did leave one other dead tree. I suppose it isn't dead enough? Are replacement trees scheduled to be planted? Now is the season to do the reforestation so trees can root through the winter and spring.
