Description
Recent gas main installation tore up city water main (being fixed) and drain culverts. This morning a sink hole has now appeared next to my driveway.

Actually that's not quite right. I own that lot, and there is a culvert under the sunken ditch. It was cement years before I owned it (with a drain/grate at each end), and when the city did new water mains (10 years ago?) they dug it up and replaced it with plastic culvert. But the single drain that the crew put back was never properly installed, and it has now disappeared completely in the new digging for gas lines.
The main drainage issue is that with the new construction, most of the newly installed culverts were set higher than the old ones, making my middle section of street the low point.
There are also several folks to the west who have filled in the open ditches between their driveways, presumably for safety, but it prevents proper drainage to Kirby.
