Q. Please describe in detail the issue.
A. There is a tree on the east side of the street in the 2900 block of Jackson St, whose roots are breaking up our water pipes and causing costly repairs and water bills. I am the homeowner at 2935 Jackson St, and while we have not yet had a break in our pipes, our neighbors at 2929 and 2933 Jackson St have both had to have repairs done. Their plumbers have informed us that more breaks are inevitable if the tree is not removed. I have contacted Midtown Management District and was told the COH has to approve first.
