NO THEY CAN'T
I'll be making Mayor Turner's office and Abbie Kamin's (district council C) office aware of this report in the morning and holding them accountable to hold the builder accountable. If by chance it was actually approved, and i seriously doubt it was, I want to know why. This builder should be fined in the same way and same price Wendy's was fined when they cut the City's trees down.
Further,
I ask ALL that read this to help me and report it to The Mayor's office and Abbie's office tomorrow as well. The house is located on the corner of Windsor and Vermont. Address is not posted on the house as it still under construction.
The case number on this report is 7673513

Mayor Turner Office you have to call 311 and they will transfer you to his office.
The more voices the city hears, The more affective we can be at stopping this from happening in the future.
Trees in the ROW, are owned by the City of Houston, NOT the property owner.
Thanks

The city removed a tree that was struck by lightning many times that was next to my house. I did not ask the city to remove it and the city did.
The tree was removed in this case to make room for the eventual driveway. And that means the curb has to be cut. To get approval to cut the curb you need approval from the city. Did the city approve the cutting of the curb? Or the question is did the tree get cut before the request to cut the curb was made? To approve the plans for construction, the builder would have to show photos of trees?
Many questions, many many questions. Call up your city council member Abbie Kamin, call up the mayors office, and yes go to city hall and start digging up records. A lot of records are public, actually almost everything that is not in the police department should be open to the public as long as you give your name, show ID, and the purpose of the request for the information.
Did the builder ask for the curb to be cut and when they showed where the driveway was going to be did the builder tell the city or did the city know that there was a tree there?
Question is how much will be fine be and did the landscaping company make enough money to cover that fine? $65 fine and the landscaping company got paid $2,000? Some price quotes to cut trees run as high as $5,000 so....good luck.
