It would be better if there was a sign -- example attached --etiher on the side of the road or on the arm of the stop light, that tell drivers in the second lane from the left that they can only drive straight ahead. I've seen and nearly been in a number of near crashes when people do that, since the left turning lane also allows drivers to go straight.
