The city has been out multiple times for a sinkhole that emerged years ago, and his re-emerged a couple of times since. When they were last out, they left this large steel plate, placed at an angle no less, over the hole. We assumed it was not a long-term solution, since it doesn’t lie flat on the street, which is pretty steeply sloped at that point, and causes a hazard to automobile tires and all the young kids riding their bikes in the neighborhood, a couple of whom have already wiped out as a result of it. The hole needs to be patched or a permanent solution implemented, and the plate removed.

This piece of machinery is parallel parked in the ROW on North Street, and has been since yesterday. It has no reflectors and is parked around a curve. It is invisible at night to cars traveling west on North Street and rounding a curve to make it worse. It should not be parked here.

Debris is piled up on the sidewalk on North Main. Not only is the sidewalk completely obstructed to pedestrians, but drivers pulling up to the north main intersection from North Street cannot see northward before pulling out in 2 to 4 lanes of traffic. My 10-year-old son has to walk this path on his way home from his zoned elementary school. He cannot see if cars are coming southward on N Main before darting across four lanes of traffic. This was reported several days ago. Pick up for yard debris is not scheduled until the first week of January. This should not have been placed there. This is an accident waiting to happen at this very busy intersection of cars and pedestrians. If I have selected the wrong category for the report, please kindly re-classify it and route it to the correct department.

This old school bus painted like a Texas flag has been parked at the same spot on North Street for over a year. It appears that the inspection sticker was recently updated. However, there are sandbags keeping this bus from rolling, as well as months of leaves and debris around the tires which illustrate how long it has been there. I believe a vehicle should not be in the public right of way for more than 24 hours without being moved. And it has been months in this case.

Trees were trimmed, and now there are two large piles of limbs blocking the sidewalk entirely. This block is heavily trafficked by pedestrians coming and going to White Oak music Hall. Furthermore, the visibility triangle for drivers on North Street trying to turn onto North Main is completely obstructed northward by these piles of branches which are 5+ feet tall, creating a danger. Large crowds expected at this intersection in just a few hours.

There is a pallet of cinderblocks teetering on a pallet beneath it at this hotel construction site. It’s not sitting on it square, and several of the cinderblocks are missing from the bottom pallet. It looks like it may fall, and if it does, it will dump thousands of pounds of cinderblock on the N. Main St.

Impossible to miss! It’s a school bus with the Texas flag painted on it. It’s parked in the street, and has been since October 2019. Another neighbor reported it yesterday. Somehow that report was “closed”. Yet the bus is still there. It isn’t clear from the cities comments, or the way the system works, if the call was transferred to a different department, in which case that would be fine. Or, if it was simply closed for some unknown reason.
