This is a problem, frogs lay eggs in the pool, mosquitos breed in it. There is no way to get rid of the water unless it is drained manually. It is a hazard to the residents and a nussiance to pedestrians and cars.

This has been reported for years with no resolution. Sludge and algae are clearly present. And sometimes grease. 🤢

Weeks after the most recent rain, the pond remains full. It's always there. It's eroding the street, the curb, and the sidewalk. It stinks. It breeds mosquitos. It's ugly. It's inconvenient and unsafe for foot and bicycle traffic. I hate it.

Really need a storm drain!

What is the status of this request? Needs attention.

I have reported this multiple times for more than a year. I followed up last week and got the following response:

Sorry for the confusion. Our group did perform an investigation back in May of 2018 and determined at the time that the ponding issue is beyond the scope of routine maintenance that is provided by Transportation and Drainage Operations. This is an asphalt street that has no gutter pan on the side that is ponding which is preventing the water from flowing to the next drainage inlet(s).

I will check with our Street Maintenance team to see if we have performed an assessment and let you know the outcome

C.O.H. Can you please install a drain here? This is still an ongoing issue over a year later.
